Unlimited Instruction is seeking an energetic, community-focused Sourcing Canvasser to provide on-the-ground recruiting support in Gainesville, Florida. This person will build awareness of employment opportunities, identify prospective candidates, develop local referral networks, and help create a strong talent pipeline for K-12 instructional and student-support programs.

For more than 30 years, Unlimited Instruction has partnered with schools and districts to improve student achievement through education staffing, tutoring, intervention, special education, and extended-learning services. Our work also helps school partners build sustainable local talent pipelines.

***This is a W-2 Assignment Based Role ***

• Conduct in-person outreach throughout Gainesville and surrounding communities to identify prospective applicants.
• Canvas high-traffic locations such as college campuses, career centers, community organizations, libraries, job fairs, and local events.
• Engage potential candidates in approachable, professional conversations about available opportunities.
• Promote roles through flyers, outreach materials, community boards, and approved local channels.
• Build relationships with colleges, workforce-development organizations, community groups, and other local referral partners.
• Generate qualified leads for instructional, tutoring, paraprofessional, special education, and related support positions.
• Collect candidate contact information and document lead sources accurately.
• Conduct basic candidate pre-screening using established qualification criteria.
• Provide interested candidates with clear information about roles, requirements, application steps, and next actions.
• Follow up promptly with prospective candidates by phone, text, or email.
• Coordinate closely with recruiters and hiring teams to move qualified leads into the application process.
• Maintain accurate records of daily outreach activity, conversations, leads, referrals, and conversion results.
• Share field insights about candidate interest, recruiting barriers, effective locations, and local labor-market trends.
• Represent Unlimited Instruction professionally and consistently in the Gainesville community.

Schedule and Physical Requirements

This field-based position may require daytime, evening, or occasional weekend availability to attend recruiting events and reach candidates when they are most accessible. The role involves local travel, prolonged standing or walking, and the transport of lightweight recruiting materials. Reasonable accommodations may be provided for qualified individuals.

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for advocating for and helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to:

• Hold a bachelor’s degree

• Demonstrate the following, or any similar combination of education and experience: 1) At least 2 years of sourcing and recruiting experience AND 2) At least 2-3 years of experience working in a K-12 educational setting

• Experience in canvassing, sourcing, recruiting, staffing, community outreach, field marketing, admissions, sales, or customer service preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and verbal communication skills.
• Comfortable initiating conversations with new people in public and community settings.
• Self-motivated, dependable, organized, and able to work independently in the field.
• Able to communicate employment opportunities clearly and persuasively without misrepresenting role requirements.
• Comfortable using mobile technology, email, spreadsheets, applicant-tracking tools, or customer-relationship-management systems.
• Able to track activity and meet established outreach and candidate-lead goals.
• Familiarity with Gainesville, the University of Florida community, Santa Fe College, and local workforce or community organizations is strongly preferred.
• Interest in education, workforce development, or community impact is a plus.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel locally are required.

$30 per hour | Monday–Friday | Daytime schedule
